Photos: Oh No Forest Fires @ Horseshoe Tavern [01.23.10]

Oh No Forest Fires broke my heart this weekend when they played their final show. The set was everything you could expect from the boys – loud, energetic, sweaty – but had an added tone of sadness as it would be the last time those in attendance would get to see one of Toronto’s best live bands. Drummer Adam Nimmo eloquently expressed his sadness regarding the band’s untimely demise, but frontman Rajiv Thavanathan kept spirits up for the majority of the night. As expected, their set culminated in their trademark cover of “Footloose,” which, as always, resulted in dozens of friends and audience members rushing the stage to take part in the love-in. We’ll miss you guys.
